From Van Morrison to Paul Weller, Radiohead to Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Monkees to Coldplay, we have a broad repertoire of tunes from which we can draw a set to meet almost any occasion.

Who are we?
Five friends and superb musicians; we have been sharing stage and audience for the best part of the last ten years and so perform accordingly with the relaxed, polished empathy only ever seen in the most practiced and familiar of artists.

2013 sees Showaddywaddy's 40th Anniversary, and the band will undertake a nationwide tour and they are coming to Huntley!!!!
The band was formed in 1973, it was the amalgamation of two bands, they both played at the Fosse Way pub in Leicester and soon discovered shared musical tastes. After playing together in jamming sessions, they joined together permanently and Showaddywaddy was born.
They were then approached and asked if they wanted to be on TV. The show was new faces and they won one programme in the series in November 1973 and were runners-up in the "All Winners Final", which was broadcast on 28th December 1973. Showaddywaddy then went on to have a further 22 UK hits. In total they had ten top ten singles, a number one "Under the Moon of Love" in 1976 and spent 209 weeks in the UK Singles Chart. At the peak of their popularity, their biggest-selling single was the "Under the Moon of Love", which sold 985,000 copies.

The Shy Teds

Picture
Our line up consists of Ozzie our singer, Ian on guitar, Richard on drums, Paul on Bass and Alex on Keyboards. We don’t have any predefined era or style of music, we tend to play anything that is good – which means that out set list is quite varied and we tend to play something for everyone. We started as a group of friends that would go out on the “pop” most bank holidays. Rather than spend money drinking, they decided to get a band together and go playing instead – still having a drink, but playing a bit of music and getting paid for it. What started as a bit of fun on a bank holiday soon saw more regular pub gigs at venues in Gloucester like the Welsh Harp, the Deans Walk and the Ridge & Furrow. Playing more around Gloucester meant more exposure and it wasn’t long before we were being booked for weddings, engagements, birthdays, beer festivals, outdoor functions, anniversaries - you name it. Through out it all though, we’ve managed to maintain an element of fun and that seems to rub off on our audience. We aren’t a stuffy function band that takes themselves too seriously – we love playing music and we love playing to people who are up for a good time.
